Who We Are Looking For:
A teaching assistant, who is looking for the TA experience on on a day to day basis and is comfortable floating from-one classroom to another if necessary.

Requirements
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
What is the difference between a TA Floater and a TA Sub: While the positions are similar there are differences:
- The TA Sub is a per diem position that is less than 20 hours a week.
- Although you may have a regular schedule as a TA Sub; it is not necessary.
- As TA Sub you do not need to have-a driver's license
- As TA Sub you do not need to take the CALM training
- As TA Sub you are not benefit eligible
- As TA Sub do not earn paid school holidays or breaks
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists students, individually or in groups, with specialized instructional programs prepared by the teacher to present or reinforce learning concepts.
- Assists teachers in the development and use of available instructional resources, materials and equipment appropriate to planned learning programs for students.
- Assists with the monitoring of students' activities in the halls and cafeteria, on the playground and during arrival and dismissal periods.
- Attends to the physical needs of students such a helping with clothing or attending to personal hygiene and toilet habits as needed.
- Learns and uses behavior management strategies to increase students' participation in the educational program.
- Assists teachers with clerical tasks such as attendance taking and reporting, lunch money and other collections, and organizing materials, equipment and furniture for day-to-day class work.
- Transports students as program needs require.
- All supervisors, managers, and employees are all responsible for helping to create a workplace free of recognized hazards, and for acting safely.
