This position requires you to work weekends, especially Sunday night.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

As a member of the Ramen Squad at ESC, youll be a key component in our customer service & culinary team, reporting to the Ramen Shoten Sous Chef, to ensure our guests get accurately and efficiently prepared food and enjoy their ESC experience. Youll greet customers with a smile when they walk up to your station and offer assistance with anything they need. This may be answering questions about our delicious, chef inspired menu items, talking about your favorite dishes, aiding the customer with a dietary issue, preparing their order, or helping put together a large togo order. This role is ideal for friendly, personable workers with a passion for great food and a desire to share our vision of a fun & exciting experience with our customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers as they come into your station and offer your assistance with their orders
• Provide assistance quickly so as to keep queues at a minimum
• Explain menu items to customers with enthusiasm and descriptive language, and be knowledgeable about our ingredients so you can tell customers about our commitment to quality food sources
• Prepare, assemble, and present the order for the customer while continually helping them get GREAT service and the best possible experience at ESC
• Ring up food orders and communicate those to other squad members, making sure to note any special requests to ensure all items are made correctly
• Offer suggestions on order substitutions for customers with allergies or other dietary restrictions
• Assumes 100% responsibility for GREATness of food served. Knows and observes all Ramen Shoten recipes, portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards along with all ESC rules, policies, and procedures
• Stocks & maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
• Portions/preps food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation including shelves, tables, hood vents, equipment-both cooking, and refrigeration
• Handles, stores, and rotates all product properly, keeping the location and walk-in coolers organized.
• Direct customers to anything they need, such as utensils, napkins, or directions to the restroom
• Closes the kitchen according to ESC standards
• Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
• Follow all Health Department regulations and perform all duties in accordance with established safety procedures

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read labels, tickets, customer orders, directions, etc
• Must be able to communicate effectively for scheduling and training purposes
• Remain in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods
• Ability to work lunch or dinner, weekends and some holidays are required
• Perform primary responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Must be a team player, committed to working in a quality environment
