Project Management

• Perform the full range of project management cycle: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling, and closing.

• Independently lead and direct projects requiring high levels of functional/technical integration and involving multiple disciplines to be managed.

• Originate project charter defining/shaping the project's scope, goals/objectives, solution approach, system integration and impact to other systems, project team organization, roles/responsibilities, risks and assumption, project financials.

• Develop an action plan and estimate requirements for resources, including management, labor, materials, and time required to complete the project.

• Create and implement project plans and work breakdown structures aligned with business and technical plans and directions; revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. • Facilitate discussions and negotiations to drive recommendation and consensus.

• Develop and help execute comprehensive change management strategy and communication plan relative to project scope and stakeholders; orchestrate and lead change management methodologies underlying project success.

• Evaluate and assess metrics and project effectiveness, assess and proactively monitor and control risks, progress and trends impacting successful project delivery.

Education and Experience

• Must possess a bachelor’s degree.

*Additional qualifying experience (of MQ #1 above) may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

• Five (5) years FTE of broad, extensive and increasingly responsible Project Manager project experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools. At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.
• Must possess a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
• Four (4) years of FTE experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools for a large-scale project.
• Three (3) years of FTE experience in IT project management or coordination activities, including working with technical staff and business users.
• One (1) year of FTE experience working in the health care IT industry.
• Highly effective written and oral communication skills to address a wide variety of audiences.
• Ability to productively assemble, engage, and lead cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies strongly desired.
• Knowledge of project management tools and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining complex and integrated project plans.

Pay: $60.00 - $90.00 per hour
