Welder Tech 1 Job at 1ST CHOICE PERSONNEL
Job description
Responsible for welding steel structures, telecommunications shelters, skids, and any other product line, and for plant operations.
- Reads blueprints for specifications.
- Welds all necessary components including floors, walls, and roofs for current operations as specified in blueprints.
- Welds all mechanical components as required.
- Performs all welding and fabrication tasks in plant as specified by supervisor.
- Uses grinder to smooth welding.
- Performs other duties as required by job order or assigned by supervisor.
- Basic cleaning duties.
Skills:
- Basic math skills.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Must be able to read a tape measure to within 1/16th of inch.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
- Good judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to read, comprehend and assimilate information.
- Able to maintain satisfactory working relationships and interact effectively with all levels of employees.
- Required to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets, processes, customers, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have previous welding experience.
- Must be able to pass 1G and 3G x-rayed weld test.
Shifts:
Monday – Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm
Friday – Saturday 6:00am - 2:30pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
