What You'll Do
As a Welder, you'll be part of our manufacturing team located in Akron, Ohio. You'll get to:
- Align parts, using jack, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, hammer and fixtures where available.
- Align and fit components together.
- Bolt, clamp, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welder to weld, tack (welding).
- Position and clamp together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
- Perform related tasks, such as grinding and / or fabricating.
- Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, or bolt straps, or bolt parts in positions for welding.
- Lift, move and hold, or clamp work pieces to table, into jigs, or into position as directed, manually or by using hoist, pry bars, wrenches, hammer, and wedges.
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- Perform any other duties or tasks as may be deemed necessary by the Team Lead or Group Leader.

- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a welding position in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Prior experience working with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A fundamental understanding and application of safe work practices.
- A willingness to learn and grow.
- The ability to weld and fit all items in their value stream.
