Sr. Analyst-Electronic Case Reporting Lead

Southeast Louisiana Area Health Education Center (SELAHEC), in conjunction with the Louisiana Office of Public Health Bureau of Infectious Diseases is seeking applicants to join our Health Information Systems team for the critical role of Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) Project Lead/Senior Analyst. This position will be a majority remote position based at the Louisiana Office of Public Health Bureau of Infectious Diseases (La. OPH BID) office located in New Orleans, La. The successful candidate will report to the Interoperability Supervisor.

The eCR Project Lead/Senior Analyst serves as the eCR subject matter expert coordinating the effort to implement and maintain automated data submission technology and methods for data transmissions from an Electronic Health Record (eHR) to the La. OPH BID for all reportable diseases and conditions. The Electronic Case Reporting Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing eCR systems and processes, as well as serving as liaison, collaborating with eCR, Interoperability team and other La. OPH BID program areas.

Candidates for the position must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Data Sciences or specialized training indicating proficiency with the Rhapsody integration engine, Health Level 7 (HL7) standards such as electronic laboratory reporting (ELR), electronic case reporting (eCR), HL7 v2, CDA, FHIR, etc., health information vocabularies and data standards (e.g. LOINC and SNOMED codes). Experience with Structured Query Language, Server Management Studio, and Rhapsody preferred.
