We are looking for a Sr Administrative Assistant for our Huger, South Carolina location to provide face-to-face HR and Payroll services to the hourly employees under direction of the Human Resource Business Partner.


Essential Functions

  • Serve as a link between the HRBP, local management and hourly employees, ensuring that communications, policies, and procedures are distributed and explained, and concerns are brought to the attention of the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintains primary control of hourly employee personnel files, ensuring access by others is provided in accordance with Company policy.
  • Responsible for promptly and precisely reviewing, verifying with local management, and submitting hourly employee time records to the Payroll Coordinator within communicated deadlines.
  • Completes and submits payroll related forms for employee tool loans, safety equipment purchases, etc. to the Payroll Coordinator.
  • Typically, responsible for the ordering of new employee uniforms, reporting employee terminations to the uniform vendor and reviewing uniform invoices for accuracy.
  • Responsible for delivery of offers of employment to hourly applicants, conducting E-verify, background and medical screenings, and hourly employee new-hire orientation at the local level.
  • Assists HR with annual benefit enrollment and hourly merit and performance reviews.
  • Ensures hourly employee exit interviews are conducted and termination documents are completed and submitted to the HRBP and Payroll Coordinator.
  • Responsible for managing the location’s contingent hire population, including completion of the documents required by the vendor and PTUS.
  • Prepares reports and correspondence as requested by local management or the HRBP including word documents, spreadsheets, or PowerPoint presentations.
  • Maintains records and filing systems as necessary.
  • Applies documented rules, past practices, or instruction on an independent level.
  • Efficiently identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them.
  • Requires frequent inter-organizational and external contacts

Education/Experience/Skills/Abilities

  • HS Diploma required
  • Demonstrates a thorough and accurate knowledge of HR and Payroll related activities
  • Associates Degree in related field, or equivalent successful experience in area of responsibility
  • Exhibits advanced skills in Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Sound organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
