Senior Accountant
This position will include the following roles and responsibilities:
- Communicate directly with clients on accounting, auditing and tax matters
- Grant administration for a grant making foundation
- Process accounting transactions, reconcile bank accounts, prepare monthly journal entries and maintain general ledger
- Supervise staff accountants/bookkeepers
- Prepare annual filings for public charities and private foundations
- Perform audit and review services primarily for nonprofit organizations
- Prepare financial statements including disclosures, in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Seeking the following candidate qualifications:
- Degree in accounting or similar field; CPA a plus
- Experience with QuickBooks, Excel and SAGE software
- Experience working in the nonprofit sector
- Strong analytical skills Strong communication skills Ability to work well in a team environment
- Motivated self-starter
