We are seeking a SQF Assistant to be based in our Aurora, CO Facility.

This position has multiple responsibilities that primarily revolve around reviewing quality data then summarizing and analyzing the information generated from this process. This position also assists with all documentation needs such as forms and SOPs review/formatting, ensuring new/revised procedures are implemented and followed on the production floor.

This position is also responsible for understanding related Quality Management Systems including SQF, HACCP, and GMP to ensure safety and quality of employees and products.

Pay will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.

Your Day to Day

• Understand and support Quality Systems, including SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices.
• Assists in updating the policies, procedures and forms related to SQF, regulatory and customer requirements.
• Collect product and/or ingredient samples that are requested by customers, QA, and other departmental personnel.
• Summarize data information generated from the collected samples into a reportable, analysis- format as requested by customers and/or departmental personnel.
• Assists with implementation and development of new policies and procedures.
• Performs internal audits to ensure updated policies and procedures are being followed. with all applicable food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Verify all QA line check data in QMS system including physical, chemical test results, label verification, CCP/PPC records, pre-op inspection etc
• Create forms in the QMS system.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 4-year college degree or 4+ years of QA document verification experience in a food manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret SOPs (standard operating procedures), instructions, Quality Management Software systems, regulatory, SQF and customer requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate ability to create SOP and Ability to read existing SOPs and train technicians.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and computer skills.
• Complete a report accurately.
• Strong attention to details
• Available to work on some weekends and overtime
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment
• Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work in cooperation with others
• Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
