Sports Reporter Job at Tioga Publishing
Tioga Publishing Co. is seeking applications for its award-winning weekly publications.
A full-time sports reporting position is open for the Wellsboro/Mansfield Gazette and Free Press-Courier. The selected applicant will work closely with the editorial staff of our sister papers, the Potter Leader-Enterprise and the Reporter Argus.
We’re looking for someone who would enjoy writing about sports in rural Tioga County. We’re seeking someone who enjoys engaging people to tell the stories that matter about their athletic accomplishments, sporting events, as well as write for our special publications. An interest in sports is necessary, an enjoyment of rural life is helpful and you’ll hear some of the best stories ever told.
We want someone who can deliver the story in a tightly-written, engaging article, accompanied by visually-engaging photographs along with audio and video records of the action as it unfolds. The reporter is also responsible for website and social media content.
Evening and weekend work is part of the deal, but you’re getting paid to watch football, basketball, volleyball and more! You must have transportation, a driver’s license, vehicle insurance and be physically able to cover events in all types of terrain, weather and locations.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
