Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Technician assists in all activities related to plant operations for a hospital with a patient population ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric.

The Maintenance Technician duties include:

• Follows a maintenance protocol and schedule which addresses all areas of the hospital and maintains customer satisfaction.

• Make necessary Building repairs.
• Maintain production support systems as required.
• Operation and repair of material system equipment.
• Attend all company and department classes / training.
• Work safe and maintain a safe working environment.
• Follow company / safety policies.
• Work weekends, holidays and be on-call as needed.
• Solve facility issues when called upon.
• Cross train to absences within the department.
• Perform additional duties assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (Word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, etc.).
• Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position.
• Freedom from illegal use of drugs.
• Freedom from use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six (6) months experience in a related field preferred.
