Kettner & G Tabacaria is looking for sales associates with a passion for the cannabis and glass industry to join our team! This is a part-time position that allows anywhere from 15-25 hours a week. The hours for this position will be 4-6 hour shifts between 10AM to 1AM. A sales associate is expected to work three to five (3-5) shifts per week and must be available weekends, weekdays, evenings and some holidays.

We are seeking talented and motivated individuals with a professional demeanor that has a true passion for this industry. We are looking for those who have exceptional customer service skills, preferably with prior knowledge about cannabis, hemp, glass, vapes, hookahs, cigars, pipe tobacco, or vaporizers.

Kettner & G is a unique boutique smoke shop located in Downtown San Diego. The boutique feel of our store separates us from any other smoke shop as customers continuously choose us for our feel-good environment. We pride ourselves in standing out as San Diego’s finest smoke shop, the only smoke shop with their very own GLASS BLOWING studio! Some of our glass is even blown in-house at our studio by resident glass artists. Soon we are hoping to also incorporate glass blowing classes into our business model.

Our store offers a variety of well selected Tobacco Products, Vapes, Glass, Rigs, Hookahs, CBD, Hemp-derived THC, and more. Our goal is to become the household name for locals and visitors alike. We will accomplish this with your help!

We will provide a fun, safe workplace where our team can earn commission based on sales. We want to create an environment that our team loves and anticipate our employees will remain with us for an extended time. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the product lines offered and great customer service skills. At a minimum, we need candidates willing to take the initiative to learn about all of our products and provide our customers with an experience that they will remember.

Responsibilities:

Greet and engage customers to establish a rapport and stimulate repeat business

Provide customers with accurate information regarding our products

Create and post content for social media platforms

Cross-sell and upsell products

Canvas local hotels and businesses with marketing team to increase client base

Utilize Clover POS to ring up customers, handle payments and complete basic

reporting

Stay up to day with new products in the field

Ensure storefront and products are always clean and and inviting to customers

Help with inventory and ordering procedures

Provide customer feedback to management

Skills and Requirements:

Understanding of basic retail sales process

Basic math skills and money management

Exceptional communication skills with customers, coworkers and management

Ability to work in fast paced environment

Self starter that takes initiative during down time

Familiarly with Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms

Flexibility to work various shifts

Must be reliable and punctual for shifts

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in retail sales, ideally smoke shop or cannabis industry experience

Knowledge and passion for our product lines and ability to share with customers to

drive sales
