Integrated Poultry Services (IPS) is seeking the correct candidate to be cross trained in pesticide application and rodenticide operations. Due to the nature and efficiency of the business, we cross-train all individuals on most services provided. This position will be mainly responsible for our rodenticide program.

The rodenticide program will consist of mounting rodent bait stations to poultry houses all over the DMV peninsula. The employee will be provided with tools, a company credit card and a vehicle to complete day to day operations. Employee will be responsible for reporting all baiting operations to management and setting their own schedule with customer approval.

This is a physically demanding job that will be done outdoors year round. The individual must be willing to walk around poultry farms while carrying tools to preform work duties. Individual must know how to operate a drill and mini-impact driver to mount stations. Individual must be able to lift 50 pounds and able to walk multiple miles per day. A poultry farm generally consists of 1-10 poultry houses and a typical poultry house is 400-600 feet long. Employee will be required to walk the perimeter of each house to preform duties.

IPS is a leading applicator of litter amendments and pesticide/rodenticide programs servicing various poultry producers throughout the nation. We are a customer service oriented company seeking individuals willing to go the extra mile to make customers happy. Due to the ever changing demand of the poultry industry, we do not have set hours as our days stay somewhat flexible as long as customer needs are met. Candidates should be aware that we do require early morning starts on certain days and we have a rotating weekend schedule.

We run a fleet of Ram 5500 and Ford F550 spreader trucks. Our spray application trucks are Ram 5500s as well. All of our equipment is newer and is automated from the cab of the vehicles.

This position with consist of various working environments including but not limited to confined poultry housing, outdoor operations and warehouse operations. Equipment utilized to complete jobs will be in cabbed vehicles, however there are instances that personnel are required to perform duties outside of cabbed equipment. Confined poultry housing is a dusty environment and at times may have high levels of ammonia. The company will provide proper training and PPE to personnel to complete day to day operations. All personnel will be required to follow company and integrator bio-security protocols.

Pay: $17.54 - $19.47 per hour
