RN Intensive Care Unit Job at The Richland Hospital
The Intensive Care Unit Staff Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) who is responsible for comprehensive goal-oriented care of the more acutely ill or unstable patients, infant through geriatric, in accordance with Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice. This includes age-specific patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, care planning, implementation, intervention, and evaluation of treatment. The Registered Nurse works with the patient/family/significant other(s) and interdisciplinary team members to develop an individualized plan of care to include educational and discharge planning interventions. The ICU RN should be an independent thinker who can act and react to the needs of the critical patient. The RN promotes a cohesive environment and interacts effectively and professionally with all members of the patient care team.
This is a full-time night shift (7:00p-7:00a) with an every third weekend rotation and 2 holidays per year.
Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin; CPR and ACLS certification required; and a minimum of one year medical/surgical experience preferred.
