The role of the General Manager (GM) is to lead the westend BW Blacksmith Coffee Co (coffee + grill) location with success by taking ownership of the location and maintaining an organized and efficient process for regular operations. The GM leads and operates the restaurant with a high level of attention to detail, creating personality-filled customer culture as well as a healthy team setting. The successful candidate will consistently execute BW Blacksmith Coffee Co’s high standards (product + service) and will hold the team accountable to these standards.

Responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

• Day-to-day operations of the coffee + grill restaurant (including the willingness and ability to roll up your sleeves and jump in when needed!)
• Delivering superior product + service, therefore maximizing customer satisfaction and 'winning' return customers
• Building the team member schedule to ensure adequate coverage while keeping labor cost at acceptable levels
• Controlling operational costs (COGS) and identifying opportunities to cut waste
• Responding quickly and effectively to customer complaints/feedback
• Maintaining a gold standard environment: a sparkling clean restaurant inside and out, from the parking lot to the kitchen and beyond!
• Managing inventory and ordering to ensure we never have to tell our customers that we are "out of" something, while eliminating over-ordering/waste
• Hiring, training, and managing all team members
• Leading the team by example, showing versus telling
• Consistently providing the team effective communication, so all team members know what's expected of them and how they are performing
• Working with senior leadership to create and implement policies that will produce future restaurant success and profitability
• Managing cash, including drawer preparation and daily bank deposits
• Delegating and working with assistant manager(s) and shift leads to make certain that all tasks are completed when needed

To be successful in this role, the General Manager should be obsessive about the details that "WOW" the customer and will consistently work to deliver a superior product and experience to each and every customer. The GM needs to be flexible to work various shifts throughout the weekly schedule (as needed) to adequately perform team trainings, lead by example, and cover shifts that need leadership coverage.

The ideal candidate has experience in management skills and leadership in both front and back of the house (restaurant), but we are willing to train the right candidate!

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
