Position: Special Education Instructional Assistant
Location: Multiple openings at Reo Elementary and Riddle Elementary
Hours per Day: up to 7 hours per day
Work Days per Week: 5
Bargaining Unit: LEA
Qualifications Required:
1. Completion of 60 semester hours OR an Associate Degree is required OR passing ETS Parapro Assessment with a minimum score of 460.
2. Excellent job with attendance and punctuality.
3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with special need students; must have documented experience working with Autistic students.
4. Able to work independently as well as under the supervision of the teacher.
5. Capable of working cooperatively with students, parents, and staff.
6. Willingness to attend field trips and other activities outside the building.
7. Be willing and able to be trained in a developmental curriculum.
8. Must be willing to participate in water activity with special education students.
9. Must be able to implement and follow the behavior plan.
10. Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
11. Previous experience as an ASD Assistant is preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.80 - $21.48 per hour
