We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to be based in our Aurora, CO Facility.

The basic function of the Regulatory Compliance Specialist is to assist the Regulatory Compliance Manager in the interpretation and implementation of regulatory requirements for current and new products. This includes labeling guideline compliance, ingredient database updates, creation and the documentation of labels, ingredient statements, and nutrition fact labels.

This position also responsible for understanding related Quality Management Systems including SQF, HACCP, and GMP to ensure the procedures are being followed and documented correctly. This position acts as a backup for the Regulatory Compliance Manager.

Applicants can expect to make between $50,000 to $60,000 a year upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.

Your Day to Day

• Audit vendor compliance documentation related to ingredients, packaging, and facility
• Review regulatory vendor compliance documents by item and determine approvals
• Escalate discrepancies in documentation, not compliant with CFR and FDA guidelines, for manager final review and approval
• Provide support to cross functional teams related to regulatory compliance documentation
• Create and/or revise direct product labeling according to the requirements in domestic and international standards and regulations
• Update ingredient nutritional statements, BE and allergen status in Genesis software (nutritional labeling)
• Organize and maintain regulatory and vendor compliance department files
• Support department with raw material investigations and CAPA
• Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s)
• Performs all other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Team

• Versed in SQF, FDA, BE, GMO, and Organic labeling procedures
• Experience in reviewing quality/regulatory documents
• Strong attention to detail and deadlines to assigned tasks
• Experience in fast-paced environment
• Ability to articulate and ask questions in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Minimum 3 year of experience in Microsoft Office
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year experience food regulatory labeling
• 1-3 years of experience in food quality and/or regulatory compliance
