NO CDL REQUIRED - On the Job Training

We are hiring immediately for this position Norfolk Southern Rutherford Railyard in Harrisburg, PA in a recession proof industry! This is an entry level position with on the job training. We'll teach you everything you need to know in order to be successful on the job. No Experience is required for this fulltime permanent position. The job is a combination of a Hostler Driver and Ground Person as they are 1 and the same job.

Make $55,000-$70,000 with hourly pay in your 1st year with overtime included!

We're hiring for the below shift start times: (These will be ElGHT hour shifts with a mandatory four hour holdover when necessary)

• 10:00 AM
• 4:00 PM
• 10:00 PM

Qualifications: (NO RAILROAD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

• Be at least 18yrs old & have a valid Driver's License.
• Pass a 7 year background check. (Felonies in the last 7 yrs, jail time, parole, or probation in the last 5 yrs or pending charges could disqualify applicants)
• Pass a drug test & a Physical Capabilities Test. **Job includes running heavy equipment and drugs including Cannabis are strictly prohibited**
• No GED or diploma required
• Strong communication skills required

APPLICANTS MUST currently live within a 45 minute commute of Harrisburg, PA. OUT OF AREA candidates and/or those requiring relocation will NOT be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Drive a jockey truck moving 53ft trailers, containers, and chassis around the yard.
• Various Groundperson duties, climbing on and off railcars, locking and unlocking tracks, putting in and taking out inner box connectors (IBC's).
• Assist packer operators in loading and unloading the equipment using hand signals.
• Assist in the process of stacking and unstacking chassis as well as loading and unloading chassis racks
• Other assigned duties.
