Universal Development & Construction (UDC) is actively seeking qualified candidates for a regular, full-time Property Maintenance Technician position at our newest community, Universal at Lakewood in Hendersonville.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

• Complete maintenance service requests within established timelines.
• Complete move out turns of vacant apartments to facilitate timely occupancy for new tenants.
• Monitor and maintain all building systems with preventive maintenance as necessary to ensure properties are in good working order.
• Work within expense limits established.
• Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations.
• Monitor work performed by outside contractors for compliance with company quality standards.
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service.
• Carry cell phone required for on-call maintenance.
• Complete grounds work as necessary which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb & dumpster areas and maintaining landscaping beds and other areas.
• Inform General Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has taken place or that may occur.
• Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
• Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
• Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Requirements:

• HVAC certification/experience preferred.
• Thorough, reliable, responsible, honest, organized, flexible, and service-oriented work ethic.
• Acceptable background screen.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
