Spherion is hiring Production Associates in Whiteland, IN.

Shift & Pay:

• 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 4pm-2:30am - $16.50/HR

Job Summary:
The Production Associate participates in manufacturing process by setting up equipment, operating molding presses and machinery (i.e., slabber, down cutter, and trace), producing parts, transporting materials or preparing goods for shipment.

Responsibilities:

• SAFETY FIRST - Every employee must demonstrate a strong commitment to following all safety standards, procedures, and practices to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
• General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
• Start, set, adjust, operate and shut down manufacturing equipment. Transport materials to designated location(s) by hand, floor jack or forklift.
• Move, load, pack, assemble, heat seal, label, wrap and/or glue product part(s) as required per specific product instructions.
• Ensure optimum product quality by performing in process and final quality checks.
• Meet production schedule and provide suggestions for increasing efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety and standard operating procedures; complete reports as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Skills:

• Manufacturing or light industrial work experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Possess basic math skills (i.e., ability to read a measuring tape within 1/32").

Qualifications:

• Able to work productively with minimum supervision.
• Able to work flexible hours - overtime without prior notification.
• Able to work in a fast pace environment.
• Able to use a tape measure and add fractions.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
