Part Time: Infant Toddler Teachers (2 Positions Available) Job at Pumpkin Preschool of Westport
Pumpkin Preschool of Westport is looking for 2 part-time Assistant Teachers:
Monday-Friday: 3pm-5:45pm
Qualified candidate must be able to:
- Interact with infants and toddlers to gauge their individual personalities and abilities
- Ensure that infants’ physical and social needs are fulfilled
- Respond to each child’s physical and social needs in a proactive manner
- Make sure that each child enrolled in a program is being instructed with respect to the curriculum
- Make sure that each child’s hygiene needs are met promptly
- Encourage infants to use and develop their muscles by engaging them in educational play
- Design and implement lesson plans
- Sooth distressed children by employing calming methods such as physical contact or verbal communication or an amalgamation of both
- Attempt to stimulate developmental growth by encouraging children to participate in creative play
- Tweak each lesson plan in sync with different learning styles of individual children
- Ensure the safety of each child during their time at the facility
Previous experience required. Reliable transportation necessary. Benefits include, PTO, paid holidays. Pay commensurate with experience.
