Paraprofessional Job at Kent ISD
- Experience with elementary students.
- Must demonstrate the ability to establish an effective rapport with children.
- Must be able to work effectively with children and adults.
- Must have strong knowledge of early childhood development.
- Must have knowledge of appropriate discipline used for elementary students.
- Must be able to work with a team in a positive manner.
- Must role model good behaviors.
- Must be flexible - called in as needed to fill various roles throughout the school day if interested in subbing for para educators.
- Works collaboratively with other paraprofessional aides.
- Keeping students safe near the roadway and while crossing the road.
- Supervision of elementary students at Kent City Elementary/Middle School.
- If subbing, your duties may include performing duties such as a recess aide, crossing guard, and morning time aide in the upper elementary gym; several jobs to choose from.
- Focus on safety and cooperative play.
- Must focus on positive behaviors exhibited and praise appropriately.
- Effective communication skills are essential.
- Per ESP contractual agreement
- May combine additional jobs for more hours per week if interested in subbing. Not mandatory.
- Reports to Kent City Elementary Administrator. Please apply online.
