Job Summary and Qualifications

The operating room technologist is a non-licensed skilled and experienced person who is responsible under the direct supervision of a registered nurse for selected tasks in the administration of patient care within the operating room suite.

• Assists with surgical procedures in scrub duties
• Assists in the orientation, training, and education of new personnel
• Assists in maintaining safe and aseptic environment for all patients
• Performs all related duties as assigned and directed
• Facilitates the provision of individualized patient care

What qualifications you will need:

• Completion of Surgical Technologist course
• Surgical Technologist Certification required
• One-year experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care facility required
• Three years additional training or experience in multiple specialties preferred
• Current BCLS certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
