DORN Companies, leading the country in wellness-based ergonomics and injury prevention is looking for an Independent Subcontractor to provide on-site services in support of employee wellness. Our primary goal is to help reduce risks and symptoms that can cause pain and injuries in the workplace.

Job Summary

DORN is seeking a seasoned athletic trainer to focus on injury prevention services through, workstation observation, onsite correction of body mechanics, wellness-based pain relief through DORN's proprietary deep tissue massage techniques and teaching integrative movement ergonomics.

This role will be a means to improve overall employee performance and wellness.

Job specific training will be provided by DORN.

Location: Simi Valley, CA

Training: 2-3 day training session

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 10 hours per week over 2 or 3 days

Salary: $45.00-$50/hr

DORN offers a full suite of services that helps to eliminate and reduce the risk of injury. Our program aligns with the Total Worker Health concept and will include:

• Self-care techniques
• Biomechanics
• Workstation observation and ergonomic assessments/ coaching and monitoring
• Participation in client safety meetings
• New employee orientation – body mechanics training
• Shift supervisor training in body mechanics
• Pre-shift/post-lunch conditioning and mobility
• Department training for specific issues

Qualifications and Skills

• Occupational Therapist with minimum 3 years' experience in training pre/post injury, lifestyle maintenance and corrective posture modalities
• Must be comfortable with minimal hands-on therapy and range of motion correction
• Experience in ergonomics, proper body mechanics, ability to correct posture at workstations and teach self-care.
• Desire and willingness to be trained on additional services including DORN proprietary ergonomics and bio-mechanics
• Strong observation and report writing skills
• Demonstrates competency in use of technology
• Excellent communication skills with clients and management
• Active Liability Insurance
• Degree or Certification in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Personal Training, Stretch Therapy, etc preferred
• Fully vaccinated and boosted for Covid candidates required due to proximity of work
