Our Neurology Technicians work alongside our veterinarians to ensure compassionate patient care and provide medical support no matter what the day brings. While your day to day tasks may vary, some responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
- Give accurate and detailed rounds
- Assist veterinarian with advanced procedures and diagnostics including neurological evaluations, preparing patient and monitoring for CSF collection, surgical prep/monitoring for procedures such as hemilaminectomies
- Assist with and perform basic and advanced CPR
- Correctly and safely restrain animals
- Familiarity with common medications used within Neurology Department (and within hospital)
- Anesthesia On-Call shifts may be required
- 2 years of previous veterinary technician experience
- willingness to learn
