The starting base salary for this position is $71,800-$75,752/annually + Incentives.

Role:

The Mortgage Sales Manager is responsible for carrying out strategic initiatives, sales development, monitoring team performance, providing member service, training staff, and insuring origination documentation is completed to conform to Credit Union and secondary market policies and procedures. This role is directly responsible for overseeing the Mortgage loan production and meeting goals of the department and Mortgage Loan Officers (MLO's) individual goals.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Maintains and coaches/mentors/trains MLO’s on all aspects for the Mortgage Loan Officer role including but not limited to maintain and develop outside referral relationships (Vendors, Realtor, Builder, etc.) and selling tactics by sharing tips and tricks with development of referral contacts.

Maintains a personal pipeline of referred mortgage loan requests and employee loans. Personal closing goals will be a minimum of $2,000,000 average per month and reset annually as needed.

Reviews a 30% of pre-qualifications and loan applications to ensure proper disclosures are being issued on time for each MLO.

Reviews a 30 % of loan applications for all regulatory compliance appropriate to the mortgage transaction for each MLO.

Maintain knowledge of all 1st, 2nd mortgage, land loans, construction/perm products within the credit union and competitors to aid the VP of Mortgage to develop the correct products to meet the needs of the members.

Provide direction and recommendations to management, based on research data, regarding department efficiencies and market strategies that meet the Credit Union’s mission and values.

Reviews each MLO’s pipeline to increase Pre-qualification conversion ratio above 25% and full loan pull through ratio of 40% or greater for each MLO.

Complete and maintain accurate performance information for each MLO within HR approved system of record. Prepare, present and have approved all performance improvement plans and follow up on all action items in the plan as required. VP of Mortgage and HR may be involved in these plans

Performance Measurements:

Provide friendly, accurate, professional service to members and associates by responding to messages and correspondence within 24 hours.

To meet or exceed Sr management set Budget and Goals with respect to mortgage loan production. These goals are set annually.

To ensure each MLO and the Sales Manager complete all initial communication with members and the mortgage loan application including all supplemental information are supplied to the mortgage operations team within a 72-hours of signed intent to proceed.

6.

Resolve QC issues and concerns within 24 hours of notification of deficiency.

To complete performance reviews based on HR notifications

Maintains knowledge of all PAFCU Portfolio guidelines, FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines. Maintains a working knowledge of all Mortgage regulations including but not limited to CFPB/Dodd Frank, ECOA, Fair Lending, HMDA, Reg B, Reg C, Reg Z, RESPA, and TILA.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.

Education

(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills

Strong supervisory, PC (technology), compliance, leadership, written and verbal communication skills.
