Medical Assistant - Salt Lake City Job at Wasatch Pediatrics
Job Description
This is a fun and rewarding position working with children, watching them grow and our wonderful providers.
Our Pediatric Medical Office in Salt Lake City is looking for a full time medical assistant; days/hours would be (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday), 1-2 Holidays/year and occasional Weekends.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible to prepare patients for exams, accurately take vital signs, record information and schedule tests and procedures. This position is also responsible to obtain prior authorizations when needed and make timely call backs. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be friendly and have the ability to communicate clearly with patients and parents. Must be proficient on the computer, have excellent phone etiquette and work well as a team. Must have prior medical assistant experience. We are looking for a candidate with a long-term committment to work with our providers and patients.
Skills
Prior experience as a medical assistant in pediatrics is preferred. Must be friendly and caring. Ability to work quickliy while being detail oriented is needed. Experience with an EMR system is preferred.
