FUNCTION:

  • Responsible for the movement, flow, and accuracy of transactions for all productive materials in the facility. Performs complicated work assignments requiring knowledge acquired through training and experience. Must be familiar with the procedures and the parts used in production, coordinates the flow of material through manufacturing. Performs all transactions associated with material. Position requires compliance with the Technology Control Plan and the Federal Export Control Policy established for the Corporation.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assures components, labels, and packaging are at the correct workstation. Locates, identifies, and moves components to all workstations. Performs material handling Move all finished goods to final audit. Organizes and palletizes goods for shipment including writing skid tickets and checking skid ticket accuracy. Returns unused materials and supplies to stock. Makes out labels and keeps a supply of production supplies. Responsible for good housekeeping and discarding scrap, as needed. Steady medium physical exertion and frequent mental and visual effort. Must understand the warehouse stock locator system to occasionally select and fill out an “issue sheet” and move needed parts to workstations. Removes empty boxes and totes from work centers. Also removes labels. Maintains shop floor inventory. Processes all material transactions. Identify material problems and notify the Group lead and/or Supervisor as appropriate for aid in problem solving.
  • Receives, unloads vehicles, casually inspects, verifies count, verifies correctness of identity, selects appropriate method of storage, and moves goods to storage or appropriate staging area. Sorts materials and rotates stock in storage areas. Responsible for maintaining stock locator system and all perpetual inventory records. Prepares necessary receiving reports; prepares and palletizes goods for shipment. Performs routine cycle counts on goods in stock. Responsible for good housekeeping and discards scrap, as needed.
  • Operators in this position must be able to sit and/or stand all day (up to 10 hours), climb ladders, reach overhead, and manually lift up to 100 lbs occasionally (with assistance, mechanical, or second person) with frequent lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. Push/pull pallets of finished goods. (either on dollies or on edge - not dead weight), rotate to various assignments involving various working conditions within their job descriptions, perform high and low repetition jobs, perform all aspects of the job, perform fine manipulation, perform accurate visual inspection, firm grasping and firm cutting (up to 25 pounds of pressure periodically), and be able to use hand tools including but not limited to tweezers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, screw drivers, pliers, soldering irons, cable cutters, utility knives, etc., work through a range of motions from ground level up to and including above shoulder height, and bend and twist at the waist. Responsible to identify and communicate corrective actions.

SUPERVISION REQUIRED:

Instruction is minimal; instructions are limited to work assignments.

EQUIPMENT USED:

Manual and motorized material handling equipment such as, forklifts, scales, banding equipment, computer terminal, printers, miscellaneous hand tools, ESD protective equipment, etc..

MATERIALS USED:

Responsible for materials used in assigned areas and knowledge thereof.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Required High School diploma or G.E.D. Certification and must pass a basic skills test required for the job. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a written and practical forklift test.

Due to International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) requirements, all candidates must be presently classified as a “US Person” which includes: a United states citizen; a permanent legal resident (green card holder) or a protected individual (refugee/asylum status).
