Position summary:
Perform a variety of food preparation duties other than cooking, such as preparing cold foods, vegetables, etc.

Tasks:
Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
Inform head cook when supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly.
Carry food supplies, equipment, and utensils to and from storage and work areas.
Portion and wrap the food, or place it directly on plates for service to patrons.
Wash, peel and/or cut various foods to prepare for cooking or serving.

Education and/or Experience
Less than a High School Diploma; None

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
