KLA Schools Walnut Creek is a Reggio Emilia inspired early childhood center with classrooms serving children from 3 months to kindergarten. At KLA, every classroom experience is designed to give children opportunities to grow and develop in multiple areas at once. Our curriculum is based on the Reggio Emilia Approach and combines all early learning domains to ensure that children are prepared for success in school and in life. At KLA, children may learn social and emotional skills while counting money and doing math in the classroom restaurant or learn literacy and motor skills while planting and documenting growth in the classroom garden. It's all about real-world interactions and environmental learning experiences.

We are currently hiring an early childhood educator, who has experience in teaching kindergarten. If you are an early childhood educator who has the similar passions as we do and you believe that you can successfully take over our kindergarten classroom, working alongside with our long term Reggio trained teacher as well as a team of other educators, do not wait! Job Requirements:

1. At least 12 ECE units

2. At least 3 years of experience working in early childhood centers or elementary schools as a lead teacher.

3. Ability to lead and manage a classroom of 4-5 years old,

4. Ability and experience to develop a kindergarten curriculum which focuses on teaching reading, writing, math fundamentals and social sciences,

5. Being willing to learn and research about Reggio Emilia philosophy and partner with another teacher trained in this approach,

6. Having a strong work ethics, being able to commit for a year long employment at KLA Schools.
