Title: IT Infrastructure Manager

LOCATION: Nashville, TN (Metro)

ENVIORNMENT: HYBRID (4 days per week in office, 1 day remote)

COMPENSATION: Competitive Base(D.O.E), plus benefits and bonus eligibility

The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the overall operation of all computing and communications technology associated with information technology applications, communications (voice and data) and computing services within the company. This position also provides a vision of how technology is applied within the company as well as company-wide security. This includes operating systems, voice and data communications, transaction processing and database administration, the data center, personal computers, electronic and optical storage and multimedia applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES: IT Infrastructure Manager

  • Responsible for all technology infrastructure upgrades (applications, networks, operating systems, databases, cloud solutions, etc.)
  • Ensures the availability and responsiveness of the company's communications network meets the goals and requirements of the organization.
  • Provides the technical/operational support for effective remote systems administration.
  • Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
  • Provides leadership in the design and implementation of computer and communication hardware, operating system software and productivity tools.
  • Provides support in the use of computer and communications environment.
  • Leads the development/adoption & enforcement of info sec policies, procedures, & standards
  • Responsible for testing of security procedures, mechanisms and measures.
  • Periodically assesses information security risk.
  • Serves as an internal consultant to other IT departments when needed.
  • Participates in the development of long-range plans in systems including data communications.
  • Plans and coordinates the acquisition and installation of all computer and data communications equipment installed at the corporate headquarters and at remote locations and maintains pertinent records.
  • Coordinates services with the various phone companies and/or other common carriers necessary for the operation of the data and voice communications networks.
  • Serves as a source of documentation and standards to help direct the activities of IT as a whole.
  • Evaluates and maintains new software/hardware policies or procedures recommended or required by the information function of the enterprise.
  • Ensures that all hardware, software, and database problems are solved in a timely and efficient manner including overseeing disaster recovery operations and the teams involved.
  • Creates & maintains all disaster recovery plans for computer related investments.
  • Coordinates and establishes priorities of the communications unit on the design, installation, maintenance of all data voice and video communications networks.
  • Provides technical leadership in all aspects of data, voice and video communications, such as integration of voice and data, distributed processing, standards, carrier tariffs and regulations and communication switching equipment.
  • Maintains technical competency of the team through development planning.
  • Keeps abreast of emerging technologies and their relative application to the company.
  • Coordinates with suppliers and other groups in designing, planning, installing, reconfiguring and upgrading enterprise telecommunications equipment and facilities.
  • Performs contract/price negotiations with hardware, software and communications vendors.
  • Determines the most cost effective data, voice and video communications for the company and administers the budget for data communications and terminal equipment.
  • Defines paths for capacity increase of computer & communications hardware & software.
  • Maintains current knowledge of IT innovations in midrange servers, LAN, WAN, PC, & develops plans to utilize appropriate technologies in support of future business expansion.
  • Prepares yearly operations and capital budgets for IT operations and monitors monthly expenditures against proposed budget.
  • Monitors the inventory of installed and planned-to-be installed information technology.
  • Interfaces with peer leadership throughout the company related to systems availability, scheduled outages, month-end closing schedules, keeping them informed of problems and possible delays.

REQUIREMENTS: IT Infrastructure Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer science with an emphasis in information technology is required.
  • Five years of leadership experience in a mid-to-large scale technology environment is required.
  • Experience in UNIX AIX operating systems, Oracle Applications, Oracle and SQL databases, networks, disaster recovery and security is preferred
