Under General Supervision:
1. Identify opportunities to expand current services ensuring CAA is an immigrant-friendly organization.

2. Advise on the needs of the immigrant community: employment barriers, taxes, public benefits etc.

3. Establish relationships of trust with a diverse multi-cultural population.

4. Create key partnerships with organizations currently serving the immigrant community.

5. Provide interpretation between immigrant families and staff.

6. Translate internal documents.

7. Participate in community events as needed to promote the services offered by CAA; provide support on special events committees.

8. Provide customer service to various populations.

9. Assists the VP of Community Relations in strategic development and implementation of various campaigns, keeping immigrant community in mind.

The incumbent must have:
1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Social Services/Social Work, Diversity & Inclusion or a related area of study.

2. Must be multi-lingual, and be a certified legal interpreter and translator.

3. Demonstrated ability to analyze resources and evaluate information in order to recommend alternative options that meet the needs of the immigrant population.

4. Proven experience working with immigrant families.

5. Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

6. Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.

7. Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
