The Housekeeping Supervisorexecutes and oversees all housekeeping operations across the entire campus. They are responsible in maintaining healthy, clean, and sanitized housing/restroom facilities for campers, staff, and guests. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for oversight of all housekeeping duties, conducting routine audits, and performing training of new staff. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for oversight and schedule management of any third-party cleaning services. In addition, the Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining adequate inventory levels of all supplies and equipment and submitting order requests to maintain inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Work with third party cleaning service management to train and schedule staff
  • Understand Woodward's policy on work shifts, guest possessions and privacy issues
  • Lead by example to guests and co-workers, creating positive and inspiring environment
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance of team are clean and professional
  • Work in a team environment.
  • Assist in developing the Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensure housekeeping services are executed to Woodward standards as defined in the Standard Operating Procedures
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
  • Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
  • Execute routine and intermittent cleaning and sanitation for all restrooms and housing facilities and communal bathrooms.
  • Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift.
  • Assist in maintaining Woodward safety logs, operational sheets, schedules, and incident logs.
  • Perform weekly inventories and update master inventory for ordering purposes . Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects)
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS:

  • Experience
  • Experience in housekeeping, hotel, or cleaning operations preferred
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team.
  • Health and Safety Certifications
  • Darkness to Light Certification
  • Pennsylvania Mandated Reporter Certification
  • NFHS Student Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Certification
  • Ability to project manage and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time.

BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS:

As a requirement of this position, pre-hire criminal history clearances are collected from the Pennsylvania State

  • Police (PATCH) system, child abuse clearances are obtained through the Department of Public Welfare, and federal.
  • history is taken through FBI fingerprint screening.
    • Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 25lbs.
    • Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines.
    • Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment.
    • Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings year-round:
    • On-site work attendance at Woodward PA
    • Preferred 12-week commitment within summer camp season.
    • Food: Up to 3 meals per working day are provided as part of employment.
    • Develop a mindset to always help or cross train with all staff and departments.
    • Provide work-related references upon request.
