Summary: Arkansas State University Mid-South is seeking a skilledprofessional,creative Graphic Designer to create and produce quality publications, marketing materials, and internal communications announcements. In accordance with the university’s brand, this position works to create graphics for each division of the college, including athletics.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, commercial art, advertising or related field. Must have thorough working knowledge of multiple word-processing and design software, particularly Abode CC products used in the creation of printed documents, digital and web graphics, as well as media-related messages. Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 2 years professional experience in graphic design, digital printing, advertising, publishing or related field.

Capabilities and Attributes being sought include:

• Graphic design expertise utilizing the Adobe CC platform
• Creating projects that work within the university brand stands in order to maintain a consistent look and feel
• Familiarity with setting up projects to meet printer specifications including bleeds, binding, color management, etc.
• Ability to properly utilize commercial fonts and text management in the design process
• Must be able to provide regular communication and statues updates on multiple projects
• Ability to understand and execute projects in a timely manner
• Copywriting experience helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities: Works as an essential member of the Marketing team, under the Division of Institutional Advancement, and assists in the strategic design, production and execution of all college informational materials and publications; helps maintain visual and content brand aspects for all college marketing channels and internal communications; and provides support for special events. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Proposed Salary: $35,000 - $40,000 depending upon credentials and experience. Competitive benefits package available including retirement; health, life, dental & disability insurance; a flex benefit plan; and educational discounts for employee and family.
