Summary / Purpose of Position: This position's primary responsibility is to care for our team members while overseeing the day-to-day warehouse and donation operations including wholesale, Safety compliance of all Thrift Departments including Auto, process training, New Goods sourcing and collaboration with Director of Sales in achieving Thrift Sales/Profit goals. This would include the spiritual growth of our people.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to the Store Managers through transportation of donations, new goods and reallocating goods as needed in a timely cost effective manner.
• Develop Safety training and coordinate with Director of Thrift Sales/VP of Thrift to develop/integrate standards and expectations to drive safety as a value in Stores as well as Auto Department.
• Conduct Safety inspections at the Stores and Auto to encompass all MHE and backroom safety items.
• Collaborate with Director of Thrift Sales to source New Goods to enhance Thrift Sales and Profit.
• Create a training outline to include backroom operational standards and product flow to increase team efficiency and reduce payroll where possible.
• Develop and execute short and long term goals involving donation acquisition for both stores and warehouse functions.
• Maintain good communication and coordination between all major areas of Thrift Ops and Delivery teams.
• Create a better experience for our Donors and those serving our Donors. This includes a proper thankyou and explanation of how it benefits our Ministry.
• Develop and implement a three-touch system for all donations flowing into the store backrooms.
• Forklift certified
• OSHA certified or ability to become certified.
• Work with Director of Thrift Sales to collaborate donation movement needs to drive sales opportunities, including new goods procurement and delivery.
• Ensure Wholesale goals are met or exceeded.
• Ensure Thrift Sales/Profit goals are met or exceeded.
• Have a willingness to share the good news of Jesus Christ, give a personal testimony and pray with/for those served by the ministry
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Manager of Warehouse Operations

Qualifications:

• Education or equivalent experience: BA in a related field or at least 5 years of sales or retail experience with 3 of those in a management role
• Years of experience: 5+
• Specialized training required: Leadership training or experience
