US Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM) Watervliet, NY

Duties

  • Prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizzas, French fries, etc. Prepares/slices lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and other vegetables for sandwiches, salads, and pizzas.
  • Cleans other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas.
  • May work on a mobile eating cart driving around to deliver food and drink to patrons.
  • Serves as cashier in the snack bar, receiving payment by cash or charge.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages.
  • This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
  • An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
  • Must be willing and able to work irregular hours to include Federal holidays, weekends, and evenings.

Qualifications

All candidates MUST meet the following minimum qualifications:
  • Meet state/local age (18) requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages? (Projected appointment date: 11/24/2022).
  • Ability to work without more than normal supervision.
  • Ability to keep your work area clean, neat and in order.
  • Applied basic food preparation and handling techniques.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Familiar with basic sanitization principles.
  • Ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Physically able to stand, stoop, bend, pull, push and reach for long periods of time.
  • Physically able to regularly lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
HIGHLY PREFERRED are those candidates that possess both the minimum qualifications above and:
  • Possess a Valid New York State Drivers License.
