Overview

The person in this role will provide expertise in facilities engineering, design, project coordination, commissioning of non-GMP areas, facilities equipment operations, and troubleshooting. The person in this role will also coordinate vendors involved in the facility maintenance activities like Fire Protection, Fire Alarm vendors, HVAC vendors, Black utilities vendors

  • Manage Capital projects related to facility investments on black utilities, refrigeration systems, fire protection system
  • Manage the building fire alarm system with external contractor(s) emphasizing safety, quality, efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Identify reliability opportunities for all facilities equipment (ex.: Chillers, Air Handlers).
  • Ability to analyze system operational data to detect adverse trends requiring corrective work in order to maximize operational efficiency and uptime and reduce costs.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting of all Facilities equipment, in cooperation with Operations, Building Services and Engineering team members to support continuous 24/7 production needs.
  • Utilizes expertise and experience to resolve critical operational issues, including but not limited to equipment / procedural / operational failures.
  • Ability to create and / or modify Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide oversight and guidance in the operation, preventive maintenance, and repair of all facilities equipment.
  • Be the site subject matter expert (SME) on all facilities equipment.
  • Ability to learn and becoming proficient in SAP for purchasing, Excel, and WORD programs to manage daily activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, contractors, and Kedrion associates.
  • Coordinate outside vendor services for Facilities Engineering and manage their activities when on-site. Provide input and approval on vendor service contracts as required.

Qualifications:

· BS in engineering with 5+ year’s applicable experience

· Experience with Pharma, & cGMP preferred

· Experience in Facilities operations and troubleshooting

  • Evident business leadership skills with the ability to clearly communicate vision and strategy to various audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience working with BMS systems is preferred
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and basic PLC programming/troubleshooting
  • Strong project management and problem solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $85,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
