About the Service Delivery Center:

Put simply, the teams which comprise the Service Delivery Center (SDC) help to differentiate Hiscox from its competitors through best-in-class service. The primary components of this are consistent delivery of a quality product the first time and lightning-quick turnaround on requests such as account clearance, quote and policy issuance, and transacting midterm adjustments. The SDC is made up of a series of Underwriting Assistant teams, organized around either the task or product(s) which they support. Each of these teams reports into a Team Leader.

The position:

One of Hiscox USA’s most successful business units is our Entertainment Product team. The Entertainment offering is typically a combination of policies for Package/General Liability, Workers Comp and Commercial Auto. Products are managed via several policy-admin platforms, and involve a high level of transactions per policy.

As a Team Leader/Service Coordinator, your success is directly correlated to the engagement and performance of the team which you oversee. A key responsibility is ensuring that your team is meeting (and exceeding) established service level agreements (SLAs). Critical to achieving this aim is setting and clearly communicating individual performance expectations and then monitoring and managing employees to them using a variety of techniques.

What you’ll be doing as a Team Leader/Service Coordinator:

• Ensure the SD team is properly staffed and trained to enable success in meeting established SLAs;
  
  
  
• Manage the relationship with Entertainment UW’s to resolve escalated issues, and to optimize workflow between the two groups (SD and UW).
  
  
• Collaborate in the management of relationships with several vendors (Sutherland, MIS, Insurity, external audit vendors, external data-support companies), and help coordinate the testing and escalation for defects and other issues that arise from the services we outsource to these parties;

• 
  Work with SD colleagues, UW’s and vendors to adopt automation and lean approaches to processing so that we can optimize speed, quality and cost of processing.
