DECATUR COUNTY COMMUNICATIONS IS HIRING!

Our mission is to provide quality public safety communication services to the citizens, visitors, and first responders of Decatur County and we’re looking for enthusiastic candidates to join our team!

As a dispatcher with Decatur County Communications, you will be required to:
· Interact with the community in a positive, helpful way.

· Dispatch and maintain status of emergency responders for local law enforcement, fire departments, and EMS.

· Receive and dispatch 911 calls, as well as administrative calls.

· Learn and be fluent in protocols and procedures for multiple emergency situations and make accurate decisions at a moment’s notice to ensure the safety of the community and first responders.

· Handle other administrative responsibilities as required, including entering warrants and assisting other agencies.

· Pay starting at $20.00 an hour.

Decatur County Communications currently works 10 and 13 hour shifts with night shift currently available.
