Dancer - Coyote Ugly New York New York Job at MGM Resorts International
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
As a Dancer, you will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to freestyle dance and improvise in role
- Engage and interact with guests, act as the emcee, and promote venue by engaging guests on the casino floor and bystanders and handing out promotional items
- Dance and perform various shows in costume
- Learn an indefinite number of routines to perform
- Teach his/her role to new employees when requested by Dance Captain or above
- Exercise reasonable care with costumes and report any damage or repair issues to wardrobe and costumes department
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Dance training in jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop
- Able to maintain excellent physical condition
- Possess the ability to perform with excellent coordination and motor skills
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
PREFERRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six (6) months experience in a similar environment
- Aerial training
- Professional performance experience
