Clinical Assistant Job at Red Earth Acupuncture Clinic

Red Earth Acupuncture Clinic Fayetteville, GA 30214

Are you looking for a more meaningful job?

Are you searching for a way to make a difference in peoples’ lives?

Do you want to work where you are valued and appreciated?

Then consider coming on as our Clinical Assistant. We are an established acupuncture clinic in Fayetteville (close to Peachtree City), treating patients from the greater Atlanta metro area. Our practitioner is highly trained, compassionate and professional.

Coworkers are dedicated, friendly, and a little quirky, but all share the value of making a difference in the world. We all work together as a team to provide the best care for our patients, and for each other.

Each one of our customers is precious and we actively manage their care through three stages of the treatment process on their way to healing. You will be able to apply your skills to help our patients ultimately become independent (of us) and healthy.

Your duties as Clinical Assistant would include:

Moxibustion- The assistant will learn and perform a traditional form of heat therapy known as moxibustion. This entails hands-on contact with patients, in a professional setting.

Patient Care- The assistant listens to the patient and empathizes with them, and is responsible for maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for them. This includes prepping the treatment rooms, cleaning the rooms after each patient, and keeping the rooms at a comfortable temperature. They also ensure that the restrooms and patient rooms are well stocked.

Interoffice Communication- The assistant needs effective communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to maintain composure and communicate clearly to the practitioner and other staff members will affect the clinical outcomes of the patients.

Herbal Dispensing- The assistant will learn to properly dispense herbs and provide patients with any necessary instructions.

Patient Check Out and Scheduling- The assistant will need to be comfortable with technology so they can effectively check out and schedule patients, when necessary.

Administrative Tasks- The assistant will be responsible for helping with administrative work (which will take an estimated 5 hours per week). Tasks will include such things as scanning paperwork and receipts, ordering supplies, organizing and tagging files, and helping the front desk patient coordinator, as well as working on various admin projects.

If you remain interested in this Clinical Assistant opportunity, then ask yourself the following questions:

Do you have a true love of people and a desire to make their lives better?
Do people feel at ease with you, where you can build a trustworthy environment?
Do you want to be cross-trained in other areas and given new challenges as your abilities grow?

Do you strive for excellence and believe in continuous improvement?
Do you want to help people realize their potential?
Does this job fit with your ‘reason for being’?
Does your schedule fit the needs of the clinic?

Currently, we need a PT Clinical Assistant to work approximately 25 hours per week. Prior healthcare work is desirable but not required. Interest in Oriental Medicine is a plus.

Position has potential to become FT in the months ahead. There will be a 90 day probationary period, paid at $15/hour. Afterwards, pay will increase to $16/hr, with ability to increase as your skills and impact grow.

Pro bono acupuncture treatments and herbs are offered as a benefit.
