Aruba Silver Peak is looking for a Business Intelligence and Data Analyst to work within our Product Management team. The Business Intelligence and Data Analyst is a high-impact position for Silver Peak. The ability to model, measure and understand customer usage of product and its impact on business using data is a critical part of the product team’s responsibilities. You will also own the 6-Quarter and 3-Year global forecasts that drive new product introductions and key software development initiatives. This role is at the center of our product decision-making, driving metric data interpretation, analysing product usage, business performance, and product engineering efficiency, and ensuring that we continuously measure our effectiveness as a team.

The Product Management team comprises leaders that are the CEOs of their products and are responsible for defining, prioritizing, planning and driving the execution of the vision. In the SD-WAN and software subscription (NaaS) market, Product Managers need to be able to measure and understand customer demand and behavior to optimize decisions and value consistently. With the recent acquisition of Silver Peak by HPE Aruba, the Business Intelligence and Data Analyst is a key contributor in driving the integration of the respective business process systems and enabling data-driven decision making rooted in data analysis and key performance metrics.


Key Responsibilities:

Act as the voice of the customer, using real data to share their experiences.

  • Create & update dashboards and trend reporting to track product bookings run rate and feature attach rates, as well as monitor linearity and shifts in market demand.
  • Build models to derive a rolling 6-Quarter and a strategic 3-Year long range forecast that will inform executive investment decisions around new product introductions, software feature development, and cloud infrastructure investments, and XaaS investments.
  • Cadenced reporting to the executive team on software release quality, inbound TAC cases, release adoption by customers, customer-found defects trending, field escalations and CAP reviews.
  • Implement an objective framework of metrics and processes to be a data-driven product team, developing the capability to gather and determine how to automate the sourcing of information that is not readily available today.
  • Develop and drive strategy to automate and enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Model and analyse critical KPIs and data around product usage, retention rates, feature activation and attach rates of new products and licenses, etc.
  • Gain strong knowledge of both the product and technology to do lead analyses and help PMs make informed decisions.
  • Track our critical initiatives around software releases and features through the product lifecycle, being able to differentiate initiatives and integrations of business processes that are in-progress versus those up for execution.
  • Drive efficiency in product operations through streamlining processes, including new product introductions, pricing analysis and administration, P&L reporting, and product configuration.

What You Need to Bring:

  • BA or MBA in Business Management or Financial Engineering or a related field, or BS in a technical field plus relevant product management work experience
  • 5+ years of work experience as a business and product analyst or as a product manager, with real-world experience bringing hardware and/or software products to market.
  • Hands-on experience in developing, analysing and trending financial data, identifying/developing/measuring product metrics, and formulating data into intuitive visual dashboards.
  • Comfort in creating comprehensive financial business models and reports and what-if analysis.
  • Ability to manage project deliverables, coordinate cross-functional projects, and work in a multi-tasking environment across organizational boundaries.
