POSITION SUMMARY:
New England Sports Network (NESN), owned by the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins, is the definitive source for New England sports programming and has consistently been one of the top-rated regional sports networks in the country. We are looking for a team of driven and enthusiastic Broadcast Associates to join us for the 2023 Bruins/Red Sox seasons!
This is a great opportunity for current junior or senior year college student looking to gain experience in a fast-paced work environment learning from our experienced team. This is a paid position that will provide a variety of production support to NESN's remote and studio pregame/postgame teams at Fenway Park, the TD Garden, and at our Watertown studios.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist our production team in the truck at Fenway Park and the TD Garden for select home games
- Learn to operate the score bug graphic for select games
- Learn the editing of highlights and B-roll for pregame and postgame
- Edit historical moments for remote and studio productions
- Log and archive live games
- Work with our talent through research, working with stage managers, and working with our prompters.
- Learn the editorial aspect of the ticker
- 20-30 paid hours per week (nights, weekends, and some holidays) during the Spring semester
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge about the games of baseball & hockey
- Interest in television production and communications
- Excellent organizational skills; must be detail oriented
- Ability to work in fast paced, time sensitive environment
