$5,000 Sign-On!!!! Community-based Registered Nurse (RN) - Mental Health Job at Vinfen

We are seeking a new Registered Nurse for our Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) teams to provide treatment to adults with persistent mental health conditions in the Plymouth area. We also have PACT teams in Quincy, Somerville, and Lawrence, if you don't see your area, please reach out!

Schedule: Mon & Wed 8 am - 4 pm, Tue & Fri 8 am - 8 pm, weekend hours on a rotational basis

Salary: $75,000/year - just added $5,000 Sign-On Bonus!!!

The PACT Nurse will work under the supervision of the Lead Nurse to conduct psychiatric assessments in addition to physical health needs in order to provide holistic nursing services. The PACT Nurse will be responsible for making appropriate referrals to community physicians, providing management and administration of medication in addition to providing a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide case management for an assigned group of persons served, including coordinating and monitoring the activities of the individual treatment team
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of psychiatric history (e.g., onset, course, and effect of illness, past treatment and responses, and risk behaviors), mental status, and diagnosis; physical health
  • Provide ongoing assessment, problem-solving, side-by-side services, skill training, supervision, and environmental adaptations to assist persons served with activities of daily living.

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in a mental health setting.
  • RN in state of service required (MA).
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred. In some cases, experience may be substituted for education.
  • Strong clinical and crisis intervention skills, competency in the use of formal and informal assessment tools and practices
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid, US driver's license for at least one year. Additionally, this position requires a fully insured vehicle that you will use in the course of your daily work. You must be willing to transport clients in your vehicle.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a CORI, reference, multi-state background, professional licensure, and driving record check.
  • Must be able to become CPR and First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment and PACT Module Training within 3 months of hire

Vaccine Mandate Policy
In accordance with federal mandates, all new employees, interns, and volunteers within Vinfen's Massachusetts programs will be required to be fully vaccinated (14 days beyond the last shot of Pfizer or Moderna or 14 days beyond receiving a Johnson and Johnson vaccine), or have received the first shot in a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) with an appointment scheduled for the second dose. A 2nd dose must be received within six weeks of hire and the first shot prior to New Employee Orientation or have an approved exemption for medical or religious reasons by the first day of employment with Vinfen.
